Our Mission
This is the dawn of RiverRescuers.org—a movement born out of urgency, hope, and love for the waters that sustain us all.
Every plastic bottle, every forgotten wrapper, every fragment that slips through our rivers is carried into the oceans—forever altering the balance of life on Earth. Microplastics are not a distant threat; they’re already inside our food, our water, and our children’s future.
But here, in the heart of Western North Carolina, we have a chance to stop it at the source. The French Broad River Basin, one of the most beautiful watersheds in the world, is where River Rescuers begins its fight.
